Fall in Stowe

The best Vermont fall foliage pictures are taken in Stowe. Vermont’s Green Mountains are covered with one of the highest concentrations of sugar maple trees in this country. A remarkable tree, the sugar maple, aside from providing the sap for maple syrup, produces some of the most intense foliage colors come autumn and is the official state tree of Vermont. The colors range from deep red to scarlet to brilliant orange to salmon to gold. Every year, people come from around the world to witness the breathtaking array of colors.
